About Eurosparks

Eurosparks is considering how best to enforce national traffic laws against the owners of vehicles registered in other EU member states and in particular how to recover unpaid penalties.

The project won European Commission backing at the end of 2006 with a €100,000 injection of funding.

FRVs are 30% more likely to be involved in an accident than a UK registered vehicle
FRVs are 20% more likely to fail roadside tests
FRVs are twice as likely to avoid the congestion charge in London compared to UK registered vehicles
